Using Virtual Reality in your Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Something important to know before you read the session description:
TCSD is launching a series of "Tech Check-out" kits for teachers to check out and use in their classrooms! One of these Tech Check-out kits is a virtual reality (VR) kit, which includes a class set of VR goggles and accompanying smart phones.  We will be using this kit as a part of this session.

Session Description:
In this session we will explore the ways that teachers can integrate virtual reality (VR) into their instruction. We'll look at examples of how VR can be used in different subject areas and grade levels.  Attendees will participate in short VR example activities.  We'll address best practices for using VR in the classroom and look at some of the apps and websites with great VR resources (e.g. Google Classroom, Google Expeditions, 360 YouTube, etc.).  We will also discuss how to check out the VR Tech Check-out kit.

If you have any questions about what we will or will not cover in this session, please email me at kchallis@tooeleschools.org.

This session will be held at the District Office in the Ophir Room.
